Greetings, friends at Harmony Hotel!

We hope this finds everyone at Harmony doing very well, and that the busy season is going smoothly for everyone! We are still missing Nosara, especially when it is only 30 degrees outside here in Colorado, but hopefully we'll be able to return soon!

As promised, I'm sending along a few photos of some of our friends there and I'm hoping you'll make sure they get to whomever might want them. We had such a great time there that we wanted to take photos of everyone, but we didn't quite get as many as we would have liked! But I said I'd send copies of those we have, so here you go.

We had the most incredible stay!  Harmony Hotel exceeded our expectations.  The hotel staff is top notch and sooo friendly, and the facilities and location are truly amazing.  Here are a couple of pictures from our stay at the Harmony. We cannot wait to return!!!

When I booked us into the Harmony Hotel, I really had no idea what we were in for. But as soon as our driver dropped us off it was evident that we were about to be spoiled! Within only moments I was already feeling calm and relaxed. The interior was fresh and warm, clean and inviting. We were greeted at the reception by friendly and very helpful staff who explained to us how the Harmony Hotel works. The steps that they take every day to help the environment (recycling, reusing grey water, etc), also to help the local animals (both Monkeys and Turtles), local children, and using local and organic foods. This was actually the first time on our trip so far that I had seen anything to do with Recycling! (although I'm sure it's not the only place in Costa Rica). During our introductions, we were brought delicious welcome drinks, and shown to our room. Down the little pathways and past the quaint pool, the lush greenery and exotic plants, and we were there. The Harmony Hotel is a one story hotel and has both traditional hotel rooms and separate little villas. All beautifully decorated in traditional bare wood, and wood painted white. Our room was number 15, a large one bed villa slightly away from the main reception, pool and restaurant, which was nice since we were traveling with 2 young children. There was a small sitting desk where we could use our lap-top free of charge, a large king size bed with crisp white sheets and pillows, a cute sofa that we turned into a bed for the boys, and a coffee table. There were Britt chocolate covered coffee beans (white and dark chocolate) and Macadamian nuts for treats near the coffee and coffee machine, and the fridge had a few beers and water bottles (which they hope you reuse, the water here is tested periodically and is safe to drink). The closet held around a dozen shirts, but there wasn't much room to keep suitcases, nor was there a dresser of sorts. The washroom was large with a huge open tiled shower, separate toilet and sinks, and a beautiful tiled tub with slide out windows to the garden outside. The Harmony Hotel also offers some wonderfully exotic shampoos and rinses. Mint and Black Pepper Shampoo, Jasmine and Grandiflorum Conditioner, and Costa Rican Coffee and Lemon Body wash. Yum! The walk to the beach is about 2 minutes, down a cute little path the same as most of the others on the property. You pass the surf boards for rent, cross a small path, and continue on. You can't miss it. The beach is beautiful, nice soft sand, sea shells, and of course killer waves. The Harmony Hotel has a guard on duty for most of the day at the beach, all guests are welcome to leave their belongings with him for safe keeping. During our 3 night stay we ate at the restaurant for 3 wonderful break-fasts (pancakes, fresh fruit, smoothies, french toast, omelets), 3 amazing lunches (pasta, fish, sandwiches, salads) and 3 delicious dinners (the green coconut curry fish with stir-fry veggies and jasmine rice was my favorite)! Please remember though, because they use local and organic foods, if something is not in season, they will not have it. So if you order the Roti with Mango Chutney sauce in November, you will not receive the sauce, Mango's are not in season, a lesson we learned. And don't forget to bring your free drink ticket. You will find it in your room and it's good for any drink they serve at the bar. Compliments of the owners! I am recommending the Harmony Hotel to you for many reasons. Not only did I feel at home, welcome and completely taken care of, but it was also the little things that mattered and made a big impact. The staff will happily help you with any tours you are interested in, any special requests, or questions in general. The turn down service in our room each night was a treat yes, but the way they treated our two boys was very friendly and sweet. There was always someone saying Hola to them, and asking them how they were. They would play little games with them around the lunch table, and make sure that they were being served just as all the adults. When you travel with children, this makes a world of difference. But since we have been in Costa Rica, everyone has been genuinely sweet to our kids. This is a very family friendly country. I hope you enjoy your trip. Tamara Lukie

Before my wonderful Costa Rica trip is a distant memory and I return to my regular stress, I wanted to that you all for such a wonderful getaway.  My stay in room 26 could not have been better – from the sweet front desk, bar and spa staff to the wonderful food, surroundings and spa and yoga experiences – this will truly be a trip to be remembered….I miss you already!

Emily and I wanted to send you and every member of staff at Harmony a short note to thank you for the fantastic time we spent there. It has been a dream holiday for us. Every member of staff always greeted us with a smile. Everybody has been extremely helpful and keen to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The food and beautiful natural surroundings have contributed to our relaxation, and the few days we have spent in Nosara flew by so fast, too fast!

we were lucky enough to have had several wonderful meals at your restaurant two weeks ago (now back at our home in Hawai`i). We love the concept of your hotel (providing a training venue for young ticos, using local foods at your restaurant, selling local products in your shop, and otherwise leaving a smaller footprint on Costa Rica than other resorts). The staff is great, the food wonderful, and the small, retro- island-style ambiance of the hotel and restaurant are the best!

Keep up the good work of saving the world one step at a time.

I am hoping you still remember me. It is Jessica from New Jersey. Netysha and I just left Costa Rica 2 days ago. The two of us were so sad to leave Nosara. It became like a second home to us in such a short time. I have been so anxious to return since I got back and its only been 2 days since I left :(

I know it sounds kind of silly but I can't even begin to describe how much we liked it there. It was a combination of the people, the environment, the culture, just everything about Nosara. I feel as if I left too soon and am trying to come back. I spoke briefly to Aida about it and she suggested that I write Andrea (who I think is the manager of the hotel?).

*H., my six year old, would like to be in charge of managing all the blue crabs on Harmony property.

CR was INCREDIBLE. So so beautiful and the hotel was brilliant. They've managed to get it totally right: excellent service but an absolute lack of obsequiousness. We surfed twice a day, did yoga on the beach, went for long (and very bumpy) drives down the coast. Costa Rica is spectacular (well, the little bit I saw anyway), and Nosara is such a good pick for OT. Harmony is a brilliant combination of authentic experience with simple, laid-back luxury. So in all, a fantastic trip and I will absolutely be going back.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the harmony. Our friends we brought this year, also enjoyed the WHOLE EXPERIENCE.

The food was excellent along with the service. We enjoyed all the updates and additions that have been made.

After 8 years of coming to the property (previous Villa Taype), we both feel it is great place to truly relax!

Thank you for providing such a jewel for visitors to the Nosara area.  Evertything about my stay was fantastic.  Your property is so lovely and well designed.  I appreciated your careful attention to blending with the environment in the least invasive manner possible.  Beyond the physical, all the staff from front desk to grounds were such a pleasure to be with.  In addition to doing their jobs in the most courteous and professional manner, the gracious warmth brought a personal welcoming element to the time spent on site.

Although I was at Harmony for personal benefit of yoga, and the combined opportunity to do a little surfing, my mother owns a Travel Agency in a surfing area of Florida.  I have already let them know about Harmony with highest recommendations.
